This tour guarantees a landscape photography experience that will amaze and inspire you. You will discover the best of what Manang has to offer while learning to develop and refine your eye in the art of landscape photography with Om Yadav (travel/wildlife photographer).

Om Yadav is an experienced photography teacher who will help to grow your understanding of key techniques in landscape photography. He will be available throughout the tour helping you develop your understanding of the fundamental elements of landscape photography: light, composition and mood.

As an added bonus, the tour is being accompanied by ecologist Dr. Paras Bikram Singh. Dr. Singh spent more than four years in Manang as a conservation officer, and doing research on the endangered musk deer for his PhD. His experience in Manang will definitely take us beyond the normal trekking routes, thus providing the opportunity for some unique landscape photography.

This fully escorted tour includes your accommodation, meals, transportation, and in-field guidance and tuition, so you can focus on making great pictures. It’s a great way to enjoy the beauty of Manang in a hassle-free way, allowing you to concentrate on your photography and image-making!

Day 1 Kathmandu – Besishar 6-7 hours’ drive (stay at Gateway Himalaya Resort)
Day 2 Besishar – Chame Normal drive time 5 hours. We take about 10 hours so that we can have photography opportunity (stay at Hotel White Stupa)
Day 3 Chame Photography within 10 km stretch (River valley, rocks, forests, Himalayas)
Day 4 Chame to Upper Pisang Normal drive time 2 hours, we take 10 hours
Day 5 Upper Pisang to Manang Normal drive time 2 hours, we take 8 hours (stay at Hotel Yeti)
Day 6 Manang Chonkar View Point, Praken Gompa, Gangapurna Lake
Day 7 Manang Bhraka-Munje,Ngwal,Ghyaru
Day 8 Manang -Besisahar Drive 6-7 hours’ drive (stay at Gateway Himalaya Resort)
Day 9 Besisahar – Kathmandu Drive

Your photography guide/mentor: Om Prakash Yadav

Om Yadav is an experienced photographer and photography instructor with years of experience teaching workshops and running photography tours. He is a travel, and wildlife photographer who has been running photography tours and teaching photography for more than 15 years. You’ll enjoy the mentoring and guidance that Om Yadav will provide during the tour, and learn how to refine your vision for landscape photography.

Cost Includes:

  • Eight nights’ accommodation (twin sharing) with breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
  • Photography guidance and tuition during the tour.
  • All ground transport in a comfortable Toyota Landcruiser.

Cost Does Not Include:

  • Travel insurance and insurance for your photographic equipment.
  • Photographic equipment – you will need to bring and carry your own photographic equipment during this tour.
  • Drinks.
  • ACA Entry permit (for foreigner only).
  • Hot water in Thermos.
  • Personal expenses eg. souvenir, laundry, medication.

A note on fitness level for participants:

A reasonable level of fitness and mobility is required if you would like to make the most of the opportunities available on this tour.
