Swayambhu, also known as the Monkey Temple, is an ancient religious architecture atop a hill in the Kathmandu Valley, west of Kathmandu city. The complex consists of a stupa and quite a few shrines and temples; some of which date back to the Lichchhavi period. Although the site is considered Buddhist, the place is revered by both Buddhists and Hindus.
This weekend our photowalk was at Bhagban Pau, Swayambhu; that is the base of the Swayambhu hill on the eastern side. Here are a few selected photographs taken by the participants of photowalk, followed by a short video shot during event.
